Steven Gerald Biehler

Steve’s life began on February 13, 1959, in Herington, Kansas. He is the son of Duane and Mary Ann (Miller) Biehler. Steve was a graduate of Herington High School with the class of 1977 and a graduate of Wichita State University with a degree in Agribusiness.

He was united in marriage to Cynthia Jo Menzies on September 27, 1980. Steve worked in agribusiness as a rancher, commodities dealer, and grain elevator operator and manager. He was a cowboy who enjoyed traveling, bull riding, hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle with friends.

Steve is survived by his children Jesse (Kasey) Biehler, Anna (Darrin) Sewell, and Matthew (Samantha) Biehler; grandchildren Briggs and Breeley Biehler, Noah and Lane Sewell, and Nora, Bracy, and Morgan Biehler and his brothers Tim (Karen) Biehler, Brad (Beth) Biehler, Chris (Rhonda) Biehler and Ron (Glenna) Biehler, and several nieces and nephews.

Steve passed away at his home on Monday, October 16, 2023. He is preceded in death by his wife, Cindy (Menzies) Biehler, father, Duane Biehler, mother, Mary Ann (Miller) Biehler, and father-in-law, Gene Menzies.

Steve’s family will gather with friends on Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. at Yazel Megli Funeral Home, Herington. Rosary prayers will be offered on Friday, November 3, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church, Council Grove and his Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated that day at 2 p.m. at the church. He will be laid to rest in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Herington.
