Richard Michael Rash was born March 16, 1963, in Independence, KS, the son of James and Susan (Taunton) Rash. He passed away January 9, 2024, in Council Grove, KS.

Neil “Tad” Ansell Fuller, son of Ansell and Mary Pauline “Polly” Spain Fuller, was born February 28, 1947, at the Community Hospital of Beloit, Kansas. He passed away unexpectedly at home January 6, 2024 in Council Grove, Kansas.

Naomi Elizabeth (Markley) Nelson, 94, died on December 27, 2023. Beloved mother, wife, and friend, she will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

Kathryn “Kathy” (Forssberg) Cordell of El Dorado, Kansas, died December 14, 2023, at home with family following an extended hospital stay. Kathy was a longtime resident of the Kelso community near Council Grove. She was born February 19, 1940, in Stockton, Kansas, to Edwin and Emily (Vogel) Forssberg. Kathy graduated from Stockton High School in 1957, and attended Kansas State University, graduating with a B.S. degree in Home Economics.

James Edmond Dunegan passed away on December 10, 2023 at the age of 82. Beloved husband, father, son and big brother to his five siblings.

Marlin L Shenk, 88, retired local architectural engineer, passed away on December 5, 2023.

Roland Royce Brees, age 93, passed away peacefully at the Pines Hiawatha Tuesday December 5th, 2023. Roland was born November 19th, 1930 in Clay Center, Kansas to Dudley and Florence Brees.

Darlene Oltmanns, Council Grove, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023 at the age of 89, three weeks shy of her 90th birthday.

Elwood Malcolm Strom passed away on December 2, 2023 in Council Grove, Kansas. He was born March 24, 1918, to Albena and Elwood Strom on their farm near Dwight, Kansas. It was during the same month, only 20 miles away, that the great pandemic of 1918 began. Malcolm attended Hurino country school and Dwight High School, graduating in 1935. In 1939 Malcolm graduated from Kansas State College of Agriculture and Applied Science (now Kansas State University) with a degree in agronomy.
