TOPEKA (AP) — Influential Kansas business groups have strong misgivings about Republican proposals aimed at financially protecting workers refusing COVID-19 inoculations while vocal anti-mandate activists don’t think the measures go far enough.
All in the Morris County and the USD 417 area are invited to consider helping with the county-wide Christmas Project sponsored by Morris County Care and Share. This annual ChristmasProject is a joint effort of Care and Share, Child Health Care, civic organizations, church groups, schools and individuals.
FLAGS -- Students from the second grade classes at Council Grove Elementary were presented with American flags and a flag holder by Don Peterson last Wednesday. Peterson visited the students to tell them about the history of the flag and the United States government. In addition to the flags and flag holder, the students will receive a Kansas flag in January in honor of Kansas Day.
(THE CONVERSATION) Consumer prices soared in October 2021 and are now up 6.2% from a year earlier – higher than most economists’ estimates and the fastest increase in more than three decades. At this point, that may be no surprise to most Americans, who are seeing higher prices while shopping for shoes and steaks, dining at restaurants and pumping fuel in their cars.
