The Oleen Brothers of Dwight are reporting that a 7’ x 24’ aluminum EBY trailer, with the Oleen logo, was stolen sometime last week. If you see it or know anything please call the Morris County Sheriff office. The trailer was located outside of Dwight.
The Morris County Hospital Auxiliary has announced the upcoming MCHA Blood Drive, to be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, August 7, at the Council Grove Christian Church, 106 E. Main Street. Appointments are preferred, but walk ins are welcome.
Monday, July 10, the Kansas Department of Transportation plans to begin the first of three phases for a pavement replacement project on I-70 at Junction City in Geary County. The project includes replacing pavement for about four miles of I-70 between Washington Street at exit 296 and K-57 at exit 300.
WICHITA (AP) -- A shooting in a Kansas nightclub early Sunday morning left seven people with gunshot wounds and two more people hospitalized after being trampled in a rush for the exits, police said.
Conditions are very dry. Council Grove Fire Trucks responded to a fire southwest of town Sunday afternoon. Jeff Litke was cutting a brome field when it was suspected that the blades of the swather struck rocks leftover from recent water line work, causing sparks and the field to catch fire.
