Mushrush Ranches will host the Aug. 10, Kansas Livestock Association (KLA)/Kansas State University Ranch Management Field Day at their ranch near Strong City. Educational sessions during the field day will cover a variety of topics, with much of the afternoon being spent touring parts of the operation.
The Morris County Commissioners met 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., Tuesday, July 25. They received the road and bridge report and approved payroll/ accounts payable before adjourning.
ROTARY SPEAKER -- Jacob Holmes, owner of Gourmet Affair, was the guest speaker at the Council Grove Rotary Club Wednesday. He talked about his journey of becoming a chef and the many restaurants where he had worked that have contributed to his vast knowledge of cuisine and customer service. He said the most expensive food he had prepared was a steak, which sold for $400 (not a typo) an ounce.
