Council Grove took 18 athletes to compete at the James Thomas Invitational in Hillsboro Friday. The top performers of the day included Kodi Downes, who took 1st place in pole vault at 12 feet; Jadyn Picolet, coming in 2nd in the 3200m with a time of 10:28.19 and 3rd in the 1600m at 4:52.49.

The Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR) recently announced significant updates to the state’s academic curriculum. The changes, aimed at enhancing the transfer process between community colleges and Kansas universities, places the state in greater alignment with most U.S. states. Butler Community College administration sees the changes positively impacting its students beginning fall 2024.
