Animal interactions are often portrayed as confrontational. Many people have undoubtedly watched a cartoon mouse outsmart a cat, or laughed as the Road Runner stays a few steps ahead of Wile E. Coyote. Common companion animals also have reputations for confrontation when forced to coexist under one roof.
Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve on Memorial Day Saturday May 25, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., will have kid’s activities geared toward learning and making memories. You can take a picnic lunch and spend the day. There is no entrance fee and all activities are free at the preserve.
It is interesting how bits and pieces of information weave themselves into a story. If we had known about this story two years ago, we would have covered it. Sometimes, organizations and citizens get together and do amazing things for the good of our community and never brag about it. They just do it.
