Missing Peabody Interim City Clerk Connected To Missing COVID Funds

KIOWA COUNTY (KAKE) - Peabody Interim City Clerk Jonathan Clayton went missing on August 3rd. Police and the KBI are investi- gating his disappearance and now know the state says Clayton is being connected to missing COVID funds and money meant for a small western Kansas town community founda- tion. The Kansas Department of Com-merce is asking the Mullinville Community Foundation for the return of $425,000 grant money to be returned.
