Council Oak DAR Arranging For Youth Constitution Awareness

Since Constitution Week was started by the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) in 1955 by petition to Congress, and was signed into law by President Eisenhower in 1956, it was deemed appropriate that the Celebration be continued by members of the DAR today.
Arrested For Electronic Solicitation Of A Minor

On September 15, officer responded to 319 Columbia Street in Council Grove regarding a report of inappropriate contact between an adult and a minor. After being provided with the information, it was determined that the allegation was substantiated.
Free Hunter Education Class To Begin Sept. 25

A Free Hunter Education Class will start on Wednesday, September 25, at the Morris County 4-H Center, 612 U. S. Hwy. 56, Council Grove. The class is open to students who are 11 years old or older, at the time of class completion/class certification.
