The Council Grove City Council met at City Hall on Tuesday evening, March 18, 2025, with a notably smaller audience than usual, likely due to Spring Break. Also absent from the meeting were Councilors Jason Booker, Sean Honer, and City Attorney Brian Henderson.
It’s that time of year when the American Legion Post 121 collects American flags that are worn, torn, and unserviceable. The flags can be dropped off at City Hall, the Council Grove Recreation Center (old armory), Rebecca Elias’ home at 408 Hockaday, or Gieswein Insurance. Regardless of what chapter a lady is in life, she can benefit from Wednesday, March 19’s, Pelvic Floor Health Event at The Territory Ballroom, located at 115-117 W. Main St., Council Grove, with experts Kelsey Hartman and Christy Ziegenhirt of the Morris County Hospital Rehab Center.
Applications for the Masonic Scholarships for Morris County, USD 417 and Alta Vista students are now being accepted. The applicants are to be applying for studies at Kansas State University. Storm spotter training for Morris County is scheduled for Wednesday, March 26 at 7 p.m. in the downstairs meeting room of the Morris County Courthouse.
