In celebration of National Agriculture Day, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins has unveiled a significant financial boost for farmers through the Emergency Commodity Assistance Program (ECAP). This initiative aims to distribute up to $10 billion directly to agricultural producers who have been hit by increasing input costs and declining commodity prices.
The Council Grove City Council met at City Hall on Tuesday evening, March 18, 2025, with a notably smaller audience than usual, likely due to Spring Break. Also absent from the meeting were Councilors Jason Booker, Sean Honer, and City Attorney Brian Henderson.
It’s that time of year when the American Legion Post 121 collects American flags that are worn, torn, and unserviceable. The flags can be dropped off at City Hall, the Council Grove Recreation Center (old armory), Rebecca Elias’ home at 408 Hockaday, or Gieswein Insurance.
