K-State professor, veterinarian warns of common pet poisons

MANHATTAN -- Not all household items are as harmless as they seem — some can unexpectedly impact pet health. In recognition of National Poison Prevention Week, Kansas State University’s Susan Nelson, clinical professor and veterinarian in the Hill’s Pet Health and Nutrition Center, highlights everyday items pet owners should be mindful of to keep their animals safe.

Hague, SpaceX Crew Commander, is Kansan

Nick Hague, the commander of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-9 mission, is from Kansas. He was born in 1975 in Belleview but considers Hoxie his hometown, having graduated from Hoxie High School in 1994. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Astronautical Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy in 1998 and a Master of Science in degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2000.
