The Council Grove Youth Football program hosted Chapman on Saturday, September 27, for competition at the 3rd/4th, 5th, and 6th grade levels. The day brought mixed results, with one win and two losses across the divisions.
The Morris County Health Department will host a series of drivethrough and community flu vaccination clinics in the coming days, making it convenient for area residents to protect themselves ahead of flu season.
The annual St. Anthony Fall Festival will take place on Sunday, Oct. 5, at St. Anthony Hall in Strong City. Serving will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The menu will feature a traditional chicken and noodles dinner, complete with mashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce, a roll, dessert, and a drink. Meal prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 10 and under. In addition to the meal, festival activities will include a raffle and silent auction.
