Julie Hower (left) and Gimmie Jo Jansonius are pictured at the Council Grove Rotary Club Wednesday. Hower arranged for Jansonius, who serves as State Director for Rural Development in Kansas, to speak to Rotarians about the opportunities USDA Rural Development offers to Kansans. The loans, grants, and loan guarantees from RD support everything from school buses to libraries and universities; ambulances to regional hospital centers; energy-efficient homes to electric and water utilities; broadband service to bio-fuels industries; local grocery stores to food processors, wholesalers, and much more.
