Council Grove High School’s boys and girls kick off their respective wrestling seasons Thursday with duals against the El Dorado Wildcats in El Dorado. Action starts at 6 pm.

With a population of about 2,100 people, Council Grove remains the smallest town in the United States with a daily newspaper. That distinction is a point of pride, but it also comes with challenges that most in the community never see. Recent events involving the dedicated staff of the Council Grove Republican reminded me just how extraordinary the people behind this paper truly are, and why I felt compelled to share this with you.

The Aglow Trio will host A Community Music Celebration on Friday, December 5, at the Trail Days Art & History Center in Council Grove. The free event will run from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and is open to attendees of all ages.
