Isaac David Carver, 21, of Council Grove, KS, exchanged his earthly body for the glory of Heaven on January 30, 2022. He was born in Manhattan, KS, on November 21, 2000. During his childhood years, he lived in Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, and Texas. He graduated from Llano Christian Academy in Llano, TX, in 2019, and attended Kansas State University, 2019-2021. Recently, he worked for Gillaspie Fencing Company in Council Grove, KS.

Norma Faye Burnett, of Alta Vista, passed away on March 5, 2022, in Council Grove, Kansas at the age of 83. She was born September 3, 1938, near Germany Church outside of Alta Vista, to Merlin and Hilda Houser. Norma was raised near Alta Vista, until her marriage to Richard Burnett on October 31, 1955.

Charles B. Taylor IV, age 40, passed on February 27, 2022. He arrived into this world on August 21, 1981, born to Charles and Deborah Taylor in Lawrence, KS.

Jean Elaine (Irwin) Johnson, the youngest of Rosa Welty and William Henry Irwin’s nine children, was born March 11, 1925, on a farm near Wilsey, Kan. She died Jan. 23, 2022, at the age of 96, in Madison, Wis.

Charles Roy Bowen, 89, of Council Grove, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Diversicare of Council Grove surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 12, 1932, in Flandreau, South Dakota, the son of Roy and Geraldine (Millard) Bowen.

John M. Sowers passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022. He was born to Fred S. Sowers and Gladys M. Bain on March 23, 1931 at Dunlap, KS Preceding him in death were his parents, three sisters; Rachel I. Thompson 1966; Bertha I. Young 1994; R. Hazel White, 2000 and one brother Fred Duane Sowers Jan 1939. He attended the Dunlap Grade School and graduated Dunlap Rural High School in May 1949.

Teresa Anne Disberger, of St. George, passed away peacefully with family by her side on February 20, 2022, in Manhattan. She was born in Herington, KS, on April 17, 1964, to Dale Disberger and Irma Meyer.

Consolacion (Chona) Brooks, beloved mother and wife, was called to her eternal resting place on January 30, 2022, due to viral pneumonia and underlying conditions. She entered this world in 1936 in Davao City, Philippines, born to Ismael and Lucidia Torres. She is survived by her son Eulalio “Gene” Brooks and wife Edie, and friends and family in Albuquerque, San Diego, Kansas, and the Philippines. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Brooks, and her close friend Leonard Rumford.
