James Edward Frese, 80, died peacefully September 16, 2022 at Rocky Mountain Care - Willow Springs in Tooele, Utah with his wife at his side.

Walter Lee “Buddy” Blount, Jr., 82, died September 6, 2022, at his home in rural Cottonwood Falls. He was born June 2, 1940, in Emporia to Walter Sr. and Leona (Potter) Blount.

Patricia Lou “Trish” Maxfield Johnson lost her battle with cancer on September 14, 2022. Trish was born November 11, 1946, in Emporia, Kansas, to Marvin Leonard and Mary Lou Ketteman Maxfield, the oldest of five children.

On August 13, 2022, our beautiful Teresa Ann Beckett, went home to be with Jesus. Her husband, Randi E. Beckett Jr., along with her two daughters, were there to hold her hand as she left her earthly vessel.

Tammie McDiffett, 61, of Emporia, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.

Gloria met Robert Block, Jr. in Colorado while he was in the USAF, and they were married on February 18, 1962. After Bob was honorably discharged from the service, they moved to rural Alta Vista, where they made their home and raised their children.
