Jerry Joe Shubert, born in Herington, Kansas on June 21st, 1948, son of Marion and Margaret Shubert, passed away on June 9, 2026. Jerry was the devoted husband of Sarajane Blythe Shubert whom he married on December 29, 2007.
Frank Meyer, formerly of Herington and a resident of Salina since June 2025, passed away on June 13, 2026, at the age of 87.
November 4, 1950-May 8, 2026 Michael Eugene Warneke of Emporia, Kans. went to be with the Lord on May 8, 2026, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kans. He was surrounded by loved ones who filled his final moments with prayers and singing.
Evelyn Belen Landez, 76, of Council Grove, Kansas, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2026, at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, surrounded by family.
Eula Marie Barrett, age 99, passed away peacefully at her home east of Cottonwood Falls on June 3, 2026. The daughter of Glen and Jacquita (Russell) Burton, she was bom on May 20, 1927, at the family home three miles north of Matfield Green. She loved Chase County and lived almost a century in the area where her Sharp, Brandley, and Russell ancestors settled in the 1860s.
