June 28, 1951 ~ August 10, 2026 Terry Edward Porter, 75, passed away Aug. 10, 2026, in Cottonwood Falls.

It is with heavy hearts and so much love that we say goodbye to our mom, a woman whose strength, style, laughter, and love for her family filled every room she entered. Mom lived her life with a smile on her face and usually a little sparkle in her outfit.

Jenna Lea Vathauer, age 42 of Barnes, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the Hanover Hospital. She was born on June 1, 1984, in Emporia, the daughter of John Clyde and Catherine Kay (Smith) Pritchard.

Many people knew her as Lucille. Lucille was born on August 25, 1940, in Council Grove, Kansas to Lee and Zelma Gatewood. Growing up she moved around a lot due to the fact her father worked in the oil fields. She was the oldest of her siblings. Lucille graduated in 1959 at Douglass High School near Wichita, KS.

John Radford Wilson was born on July 6th, 1935, to Leslie and Waneta (Christian) Wilson. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the air force in 1954 and was stationed in Texas.

Donald “Donnie” Leroy Nelson, 89, of Marquette, KS, peacefully passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Bethany Home, Lindsborg. Donnie was born on August 28, 1936, in Lyons, Kansas, the son of Ely E.

Wodke, age 73, of Salina, Kansas, passed away peacefully at home on July 19, 2026. Born in Lawrence, Kansas, Mick lived a life enriched by his love for family and friends. He will be fondly remembered for his kindness, passion for music, and exceptional talent on the guitar.

Darla Rae (Cahoone) Weiss, 63, died August 3, 2026, at Morris County Hospital, Council Grove. She was born January 25, 1963, in Wichita, to Zelma Maxine (Livesay) Cahoone and Howard Allen Cahoone.

Katherine Bell Bishoff Otte, the second daughter of Augustus Richard Bishoff and Vida Mary Strange Bishoff was born on July 23, 1928, at Lake City, Kansas. They moved to rural Chase County in the fall of 1929.

Jeffrey Lane McDiffett, 75, of Lawrence, Kansas, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 25, 2026. He was an amazing father, “Papa,” brother, friend, and neighbor.
