Cami SanRomani, owner of Cami’s Cake Company, the Wooden Spoon and the soon-to-be sandwich shop called The Knuckle Sandwiches, was guest speaker at the Council Grove Rotary Club on Wednesday.

Tragedy has struck the descendants of Leonard and Harriette Johnson of Wilsey. Their grandson, Montana Highway Trooper Lewis Johnson, age 38 and an 8-year law enforcement veteran, living in Eureka, Montana was severely injured on Thursday, February 16, 2023, after being run over by a fleeing felon with a warrant. Injuries sustained include a punctured lung, damaged liver, head injury, broken ribs, broken arm, broken leg and severe spinal trauma. Doctors anticipate recovery to be long and difficult.
Hot chocolate does a fine job of warming people up on cold winter days. This rich and creamy beverage is enjoyed many ways, with some people floating miniature marshmallows on top or adding a touch of liqueur for an adult treat. Of course, hot chocolate is equally delicious topped with whipped cream and a dusting of cinnamon.
