The Council Grove High School Lady Braves softball team was on the road Thursday night against Mission Valley, losing both games. The score for game one was 9-2 and the score for game 2 was 3-13.
After being an active local real estate agent for 12 years, Denise Hartman has opened her own company called Twin Lakes Real Estate of Council Grove. Hartman’s office is located at 119 W. Main Street, in one of the professional offices located in the Territory Ballroom building.
Despite tough wind conditions at the meet in Lyndon on Thursday, the Chase County Bulldogs performed well and placed 3rd as a team with 75 points. The scoring breakdown consisted of sprints 10, distance 10, throws 7, Jumps 22 and relays 26 points.
Steve Euler, Operations Manager for Rural Water District #1--Morris County, received a prestigious Special Recognition Award Wednesday at the Kansas Rural Water Association convention in Wichita.
Susan Osborne of Council Grove won the Easter Trail Contest. She correctly identified the codewords at participating merchants and was the winner in a drawing of those who had completed the Trail. Osborne will win two $50 certificates to use at any of the sponsoring merchants.
