The Council Grove High School Braves golf squad took 1st place in their home invitational golf tournament Monday, shooting a 331 which was 40 strokes better than 2nd place Osage City.

(KVOE) The Chase County Bulldogs boys track and field team won the Tim Griffin Relays on Thursday in Cottonwood Falls. The event is named after Tim Griffin, who passed away from ALS in 1992 at 42 years of age. Griffin had been a longtime teacher and coach at Chase County High School.

This week’s student of the week at Council Grove Elementary School is Kiptyn Platz. He is eight-yearsold and is a second grader. Kiptyn likes farming, haying and playing baseball. His favorite non-school thing to do is go fishing with his grandpa, and hunting. Kiptyn says he likes building forts outside, and he has one brother.
