DIAPER DRIVE -- Mary Collins of Morris County Care & Share, Stacy Zeigler of Morris County Hospital Foundation and new medical provider Dr. Sydnee Nelson are all smiles as they pose with many of the diapers raised in conjunction with Dr. Nelson’s open house in Council Grove. The diapers are a badly needed item at Morris County Care & Share. Dr. Nelson starts seeing patients September 14.
The October meeting of the USD 417 Board of Education was held after its required Revenue Neutral Rate Meeting, as required by law. The 2022-2023 budget was approved.

Some nature lovers are content to bask in the moment and set the scene to memory. Others may want a more permanent way to commemorate the view.
The Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism will be sponsoring Hunter Education classes for the Fall of 2022. The class has limited seating and will fill up fast.
Council Grove ran its record to 2-0 Friday night at Legion Field in Council Grove with a 23-0 win over Flint Hills League rival Mission Valley. It was the Braves second shutout of the young season, and the first back-to-back shutouts at CG since 1992. Mission Valley fell to 0-2 on the season.
