The first outing for the relaunched Council Grove Swim Club was a huge success. The swim meet, held in Hillsboro, featured swimmers from Hillsboro, Herington, Abilene, Marion and Council Grove. Council Grove only took 20 swimmers, but they did well.

Throwback to 1963 when Council Grove High School junior Jim Wilkerson set the bar high with 7 fumble recoveries and 10 turnovers forced in a single football season!
The Dirty Bourbon Band is a country band based out of Kansas City. They play throughout the Midwest. They seem to pack a dance floor wherever they play, saying that they offer real outlaw country music from the 70s,80s and 90s.
David Schneider of Milford, Kansas and a dedicated community leader and seasoned professional, has officially filed and announced his candidacy for the Kansas Senate in District 17. The district encompasses Lyon County, Morris County, and parts of Geary County, including Junction City.
