Valerie Woodall Talks Promoting Council Grove With Rotary Club
At Wednesday’s Council Grove Rotary meeting, Valerie Woodall shared about her education and background at Dillard’s, before talking specifics about how retail has changed, whether it be in trends with technology doing the work or societal trends such as people not wanting to use crystal and silver any longer. Even the preferred fonts on wall hangings have changed. Instead of seeing the black and white Holstein cow everywhere, the furry, long-haired Highland calf has replaced the Holstein in popularity when it comes to décor. Common gestures of sending a greeting card have become expensive by the time postage is included. Picture Frames are slow sellers because everybody stores photos on their phone. Candles have slowed down.
