An adoptive mother knew that caring for three children from the Kansas foster system meant nurturing those kids through some truly serious problems.
Council Grove High School opened the 2024 season with a decisive 40-7 victory over Wabaunsee, highlighted by a record-setting night for Ace Monihen. Monihen’s 150 total yards and three touchdowns pushed his career total to 54 touchdowns, which broke the school record formerly held by Derek Ziegenhirt who had 52 (c/o 2011).
The Braves Cross Country teams opened the season Thursday at the Mission Valley Invitational with Jadyn Picolet medaling and a slew of PRs, 11 PRs to be exact. Each of the 11 Personal Records were set by either new members of the team or freshmen running their 1st 5K.
The Morris County Commissioner meeting was called to order on Tuesday, August 27th, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. Commissioners David Fox, Jim Barber and Wayne Kohler were present. Bill Kassebaum, County Counselor, and Chelsey Schmidt, County Clerk, were present.
