The Council Grove Junior High Braves basketball teams delivered an impressive mix of effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship over the weekend at the JV Tournament and in their Monday night games against the Osage City Indians.
The Council Grove Junior High Lady Braves faced a challenging Monday night against Osage City, losing at all levels of play. Despite the outcomes, Coach Jaedyn Miller emphasized the team’s effort and improvement.
The First Baptist Church, located at 501 Country Lane, will be hosting another free and fabulous Community Christmas Meal on Christmas Day, December 25. Turkey, ham and all your favorites will be served, along with desserts.
The Council Grove City Council met on December 17, 2024, for its final meeting of the year, with Mayor Debi Schwerdtfeger presiding. All councilors were present, with Councilor Sharon Haun present by Zoom.
The next Morris County Hospital Auxiliary Blood Drive is scheduled to be held at the Council Grove Christian Church from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2025.
