Family Bingo in Dwight
Beginning Sunday, January 12 and every second Sunday of the month through April, join the Dwight Community Church for Family Bingo at 2-4 p.m., at the Dwight Community Fellowship Hall, 510 7th St, Dwight. In May, the event will be held on the 3rd Sunday, as Mother’s Day is on the second Sunday.
Carol Cooper wins week 18, Bryan Hatcher, wins overall
Carol Cooper, of Alta Vista, won week-18 of the Council Grove Republican’s Pigskin Pick ‘Em contest. Cooper correctly guessed 11 out of 16 contests. She will receive a $25 gift certificate that is redeemable at any of the contest sponsors.
Council Grove city council meets tonight
The Council Grove City Council will meet tonight at 5:30 p.m. Items on the agenda include a public comment period and the consent agenda, which includes the Club Liquor License renewal of the Hays House.
Carmen Kraus wins Bowl Bash 2
Carmen Kraus, a Council Grove Republican subscriber from Talmage, Kansas, was the winner of Bowl Bash 2. Kraus correctly guessed 17 out of 23 contests. Kraus will win a gift certificate that is redeemable at any of the Bowl Bash contest sponsors.
