Your Guide to Enjoying Small-Town Festivals This Season I grew up in a small town in northeast Kansas, and some of my favorite memories come from the annual festivals and celebrations held in our community and the surrounding towns. Yet another brought in a carnival complete with rides and traditional midway games. Playing bingo for prizes was always a highlight for me — winning meant choosing from a wide variety of treasures laid out on the prize table.
