The City of Council Grove and its merchants were featured in a positive manner in the Spring 2024 edition of Midwest Living Magazine. The article written by Jess Hoffert appears to have been penned during the summer of 2022, when the Symphony in the Flint Hills was near Bazaar in Chase County.
A weekly support group for those whose loved ones suffer from dementia will begin 1-2 p.m., Thursday, April 4 and will be held in the Morris County Hospital Chapel.
At Tuesday’s Morris County Commission meeting, there was discussion held regarding posting signs at the courthouse entrances to direct individuals trying to access the Sheriff’s Office. The new entrance to the Sheriff’s Office will be located on the west side of the courthouse, however, until the sidewalk and stairway concrete work is complete this entrance is not accessible.
The Council Grove High School Braves Golf Team excelled at their first outing Thursday at the Southern Lyon County Invitational tournament played at the Emporia Golf Course. The team placed third in a field of twelve teams. Drew Buchman tied for first and won it on the second playoff hole. Trace Adams also medaled as he tied for 12th place.
