Council Grove Named #3 As Best Small Town To Visit

The Council Grove Area Trade & Tourism Association has announced that Council Grove has been voted as one of the Best Small Towns to Visit in the Midwest. The top 10 list was compiled by USA Today 10Best Readers and then voted on the public. We give the CCATT and key people in town credit for Council Grove’s top ranking, as they kept many of us voting and encouraging our friends and family to do the same.

CG ROTARY CLUB GUEST Lisa

CG ROTARY CLUB GUEST Lisa Wainwright, President of the Morris County Fair Board, was the guest speaker at Wednesday’s Council Grove Rotary Club meeting. Wainwright discussed improvements that have been made and need to be made to the Morris County Fairgrounds. The Beef Barn was built in 1986 and the Community Building was built in 1994-1995. Like other facilities that age, upgrades are needed and there is an ongoing plan in place, as fundraising efforts are accomplished. (More information will be shared in an article on Friday.)
