A new mural at 5 S. Broadway, in Herington, is complete. The mural by Mindy Allen of Mindy’s Murals in Junction city creates a beautiful representation of the Family Resource Exchange’s mission, that of going from a dark place to a better place. Allen said Corkie Dunlap first contacted her about three years ago about doing the mural but that actual painting was started last spring. The work was delayed by weather and Allen’s traveling. Allen has been painting murals for 12 years and is known for the mural at the Inman elevator she did last year. A photo of the building’s wall before the mural is in the inset to the right.
