CG Lady Braves’ 2025–26 season is one of growth

The Council Grove High School Lady Braves enter the 2025–26 season with only five returning players, prompting a year of growth and expanded opportunities across the roster. Head coach Eric Carter said the team will rely heavily on its lone returning starter, senior Haylie Grant, who is expected to provide stability and leadership on both ends of the floor.

CGES PTO sponsors school carnival

Council Grove Elementary’s PTO recently sponsored a school carnival for families, bringing staff and parents together to create an evening of games, activities, and old-fashioned carnival décor. Teachers designed and supplied their own game stations, while PTO members and community partners helped provide prizes. The gym and multi-purpose room were transformed with classic carnival touches, drawing excite-ment from students the moment they walked in.
