The Kansas Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (KSFMNP) continues to provide important support to low-income seniors across the state by helping them purchase fresh produce, herbs, and honey directly from authorized farmers at Kansas farmers markets. The program strengthens local communities by connecting seniors with healthy food options while supporting Kansas farmers.

Kansas wildlife officials are preparing to release another batch of alligator snapping turtles into the Neosho River next month. This follows the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks’ (KDWP) first release of 40 turtles last September, which, according to the department, appears to be doing well.
