The Council Grove City Council met on Tuesday for its first meeting in February and for a public hearing to present and discuss the wastewater collection system project. The improvement will be funded under the low interest State Revolving Loan Fund Program through the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

The Braves took on the Warriors from Marion Friday night and got after it from the tip. The local team beat Marion 66-44.

Council Grove Powerlifting coach Matt Wilkens has given an impressive update to the powerlifting meet that was held at Royal Valley in Hoyt. Six kids competed. There were 28 teams with 568 lifters competing and the Council Grove team held their own at a very large meet. Two lifters etched their name in the record books at Royal Valley and we brought home 15 top 3 medals amongst six lifters.
