Last month Trail Days Cafe, 803 W. Main, Council Grove, was highlighted by the website onlyinourstate. com. The writer, identified as Rebecca, said the cafe offers a unique dining experience with historic ambiance and period-accurate food.
Wesley Brown, 28, Council Grove, was approaching a stop sign and pulled out as David Comp, 59, White City was driving by. Comp attempted to evade Brown by turning and was struck on the rear passenger side of his vehicle.
The Council Grove First Congregational UCC, 400 West Main Street, will begin its Lenten Lunches and Speaker Series on Thursday, March 6, with serving beginning at noon for either dining in or carry out.
