An Election Candidate Forum for Council Grove candidates will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, at the Carnegie Building, 303 W. Main, upper level (lift available).
When Delma Boyer reflects on nearly a hundred years of life, her stories paint a vivid portrait of a world that has changed in ways many today can scarcely imagine. Born on Christmas Day in 1925, Delma’s life spans the Great Depression, the Dust Bowl, World War II, and the remarkable transformations of American farming, education, and community life.
The Council Grove Youth Football program hosted Chapman on Saturday, September 27, for competition at the 3rd/4th, 5th, and 6th grade levels. The day brought mixed results, with one win and two losses across the divisions.

The annual St. Anthony Fall Festival will take place on Sunday, Oct. 5, at St. Anthony Hall in Strong City. Serving will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The menu will feature a traditional chicken and noodles dinner, complete with mashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce, a roll, dessert, and a drink. Meal prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 10 and under. In addition to the meal, festival activities will include a raffle and silent auction.
