WAGON PARK-Last Saturday, Taylor Adams, Lucas Cosgrove (pictured) and Jeff Sowers of the Council Grove Rotary Club performed work on a retaining block wall at Wagon Park. The next steps for the area will be leveling out the slab for a concrete base and doing form work on the area. The Council Grove Rotary Club announced plans in March to landscape and enlarge the area and make the Rotary Club wagon a destination stop for visitors to Council Grove and along the Santa Fe Trail. The site will include historical narrative, a photo opportunity site and the restored wagon. For those interested in assisting, work notices will be posted on Council Grove Volunteers on Facebook.
