Regent, Colleen Anderson, led the group in the DAR ritual and prayer, Pledge of allegiance to the Flag of the USA, the American’s Creed, and the Preamble to the Constitution of the USA.
Monarch Molding, Inc., a long-standing manufacturing presence in Council Grove, has closed its doors, bringing an end to nearly seven decades of operation, known under the names of Buckeye Bait and Monarch Molding. The company’s equipment and assets will be sold at a public auction scheduled for 10 a.m., on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the facility located at 120 Liberty Street.
