Some of us may be making a few cookies for the holidays but for Cami San-Romani, the volume of cookies she makes for her business Cami’s Cake Co., and the volume of ingredients she uses, is staggering.

Pharmacists Jake and Tami Dugan love Council Grove and are eager to find a home to buy and land to purchase for their “funny farm” of exotic animals. Jake has known Aldrich Apothecary owner David Rziha for years. Rziha knew that Jake was interested in owning a pharmacy someday. When Rziha contacted Jake and Tami shortly after the pharmacy purchase on July 1 and asked if they would be interested in relocating so that Jake could manage Aldrich Apothecary and Tami could work at Kay’s Pharmacy in Herington, and fill in at Aldrich Apothecary, the Dugans said yes. They lived in Eldorado Springs, which is in southwest Missouri. The Dugans had to give notice where they worked, sell their house and small ranch and find a temporary home to locate their exotic animals. Jake remembers Rziha saying to take their time but to come to Council Grove as soon as they could. Jake arrived at Aldrich Apothecary one month ago on November 7. He and Tami are both licensed in Kansas and Missouri.
