The following students have made the Honor Roll at Prairie Heights Elementary School for the 2nd Quarter.
Anita Cleveland, 62, White City, was eastbound on J Avenue when a deer entered the roadway from the north ditch. She was unable to avoid striking the deer. Front end damage was caused to her 2020 Ford Explorer. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was removed from the scene by the owner.
The Council Grove Junior High Boys basketball team has struggled early in games lately. That changed on Tuesday night in the opening round of the Flint Hills Junior League Tournament in Central Heights.
