The precipitation and temperature data for 2025, tracked by the Corps of Engineers office at the Council Grove Reservoir, certainly showed the diversity of weather in our state.
The Council Grove City Council met Tuesday, January 6, at City Hall, with all council members present. Early in the meeting, the council approved the consent agenda, including minutes and appropriations in the amount of $37,492.61. The minutes were approved with a correction that Councilman Jason Booker had been present at the end of the prior meeting, arriving at that meeting as it was concluding due to his schedule.
Local husband-wife team of Alex and Bonnie Birzer are having great success in Louisiana this winter.
A ribbon cutting for Council Grove’s newest business THRIVENT, located in The Dealership Building, at 318 W. Main Street was held Monday morning. Blaine Cash, BFA™, FIC, CKA™, Thrivent Financial Consultant and resident of Dwight, did the honors of cutting the ribbon.
