Prairie PastTimes Gallery and Emma Chase Friday Night Music are excited to announce they will soon have a new location in Cottonwood Falls. In March, the two activities will be moving to just across the street from the Chase County Courthouse and Dieker’s service station, in the former Symphony in the Flint Hills building at 331 Broadway (north side).
The Blackjack Saddle Club ended the 2025 season with their year end awards banquet in Leonardville recently. Shows were held throughout the summer in Manhattan at the Cico Park arena.
Ava Kelley Ava is in sixth grade and a student in Steffany Spear’s class. Her favorite color is purple and her best gift ever was art supplies. She likes to spend time playing sports, especially basketball on the weekends. Ava says if she had a superpower it would be teleportation.
An Alkegen onsite hiring event will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2026, for individuals interested in manufacturing careers. The event will take place from 1-4 p.m. at 1000 N. Union Street, Council Grove, Kansas.
