American Legion Post 121 and Together With Veterans AND Morris County will host their first of two Veterans Coffee’s on Wednesday, February 4, beginning at 9 a.m., at the former National Guard Armory located at 1018 Old US Highway 56 in Council Grove.
Boys grab tournament wrestling championship Council Grove grabbed an impressive tournament championship at the Fredonia Invitational Boys Tournament Saturday in Fredonia, scoring 175.5 points to beat Andover-Central with 146.5, Iola with 109, and eight other southeast Kansas teams.
The Chase County Bulldogs split varsity action late last week before the junior varsity squad closed the stretch by capturing the Flint Hills JV Tournament championship on Saturday, Jan. 31.
