On June 8, at approximately 9:45 p.m., the Morris County Sheriff’s Office and Council Grove Police Department were dispatched to a suspicious persons call near the Cottage House Hotel in Council Grove.
The Community Thrift Store has awarded scholarships to nine 2023 senior graduates. They are Abigail Bachura, Jaxon Buchman, Jayden Coover, Jalen Dagosta, Trru Davis, Kahle Jones, Mason Goeckel, Jace Goodman, and Jordyn Picolet.
Taunte Lieseja Café, 206 W. Main, Council Grove, has been open for five weeks. The café that advertises real homecooked Mennonite cuisine shares a building with The Market on Main.
Fredrick Phillips American Legion Post 121 will celebrate 100 years of Flag Day tonight, at Veterans Park beginning at 8:45 p.m. Veterans Park is located near the Council Grove Baseball Field and Council Grove Swimming Pool at the M60 Tank. They have collected tattered and unserviceable flags all year for proper disposition, however, if you have flags that need disposed of, you can drop them off prior too, or at, the ceremony.
