The Council Grove Republican is geared up for its March Mania contest. NCAA teams will be announced Sunday, March 16. Due to play beginning at the end of the week, all entry forms are due into the Republican office by 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 20. That is a fourday turnaround, but we know our basketball aficionados can do it.
Residents of Council Grove and the Flint Hills area will have a frontrow seat to a total lunar eclipse in the early hours of March 14, 2025. This rare occurrence will provide skywatchers with a breathtaking view of the Moon turning a deep red hue—a phenomenon often called a “Blood Moon.”
