Jimmy Harris: Unearthing the past, one find at a time

When Jimmy Harris of Council Grove lost his wife Yvonne in 2016, he found himself at a crossroads. For years, their shared pastime had been fishing together, casting lines and sharing quiet moments near Kansas waters. Her passing left a void that Harris knew he needed to fill. He wanted something that could occupy his hands and his heart, while still offering the sense of discovery and patience that fishing had always provided. What he found was treasure hunting—metal detecting— and over the last several years, it has become both a passion and a way of life.

Karsyn is a student in Lori May’s first grade class. Her favorite color is pink. The best gift she has ever received is the prize for Brave of the Week. Karsyn likes to go to the swimming pool on the weekends. She says if she had a super power it would be to fling and have laser eyes.
