Marshall Holds Town Hall, Answers Community Questions
Congressman Roger Marshall (R-KS) held a town hall on Monday with Morris County residents to answer questions about his work in Washington and to address the concerns of voters on a variety of issues. The town hall took place at the historic Hays House restaurant in Council Grove and was attended by community business and political leaders, as well as a swath of the general public.
Prior to the town hall, Marshall attended a luncheon with local business leaders to discuss the issues they view as most pressing going into 2018. Many of those in attendance at the luncheon addressed concerns of rising health care costs, the declining rural population, infrastructure funding, over-regulation of small businesses and the difficulty of keeping young people in the community. Others had concerns about civility and the example set by Washington, which they feel has trickled down to the general population.
