In the public comment period, Angie Schwerdtfeger proposed that the Pride Committee team with the Council to work on picking a design for possible new street signs. The Council agreed that they would work with Pride on this endeavor.
Councilman Jeff Blosser updated the Council on renovations to Ben I. Smith Field. Blosser stated that much of the work can be done by City work crews, which has been factored into the estimates. One of the renovations will be the installation of a pad mount transformer which would be used to power the lights and concession stand, as well as possibly powering RV’s for short term camping. The Council will seek some funding through grants as well as a possible partnership with USD 417.
