Criminal court proceedings continue for four men accused of theft, conspiracy and other counts, including drug transport, in Morris County.
Ulric Samspon of Topeka, Raul Hernandez of Leavenworth and Randy Fetters Jr. of Dwight were charged after the Morris County Sheriff’s Office received information about a possible stolen vehicle a month ago.
The investigation indicated two stolen pickups, one from Morris County and one from Shawnee County. Deputies then served a search warrant at 612 Cypress in Dwight, where they found a stolen car, flatbed trailer and motorcycle — along with small amounts of cocaine, marijuana and methamphetamine.
An unspecified firearm, drug paraphernalia items and other unspecified allegedly stolen property items were also recovered.
All three men are charged with single counts of possession of stolen property and conspiracy to that end. Fetters, meanwhile, has been charged with distributing up to 450 grams of marijuana and up to 100 grams of meth. Fetters is also charged with criminal possession of a weapon by a felon and possession of paraphernalia.
Sampson has a preliminary hearing Aug 6. Hernandez has a prelim Aug 12. Fetters has prelims Aug 27 in both cases.
Another court hearing scheduled for Aug. 6, is against a Geor- accused of drug transport. A traffic stop in Council Grove late last month led to the discovery of cocaine, marijuana, meth and “a large amount of US currency,” all of which were seized.
Herbert Herr was charged with distributing up to 100 grams of cocaine, marijuana, meth and Adderall, all within 1,000 feet of Council Grove High School, as well as possessing cocaine and meth and speeding.
